The IELTS Exam lasts for 2 hours and 45 minutes. Results are reported as band scores on a scale from 1 (the lowest) to 9 (the highest). The IELTS Exam consists of 4 parts – Listening, Reading, Writing and Speaking. 

Section Format Time
Listening 4 sessions with 10 questions each Approximately 30 minutes
Reading 3 sections with 40 questions in total 60 minutes
Writing 2 tasks in total 60 minutes
Speaking 3 task total 11-14 minutes
